For sale is a professionallyrebuilt pair of date matched Small Block Chevy 2.02 double hump cylinder heads.The casting number is 3782461. These heads are Flint castings, so they will becorrect for a Corvette or passenger car restoration. The heads are dated D15& D25 (April 1, 1965 & April 2, 1965). These heads have factoryadvertised 64cc combustion chambers with new 2.02 intake and new 1.60 exhaustvalves. The 461 is one of the best closed chamber cylinder heads of the 1960’s.The heads have been hot tanked, shot blasted, & magnafluxed, no issuesfound. These heads have been completely rebuilt with 8new hard exhaust seats for unleaded fuel, 8 new thick-wall bronze intake valveguides, 8 new thick-wall brass exhaust valve guides, a 3-angle valve job, 8 newOEM stock replacement 2.02” intake valves, 8 new OEM stock replacement 1.60”exhaust valves, & 16 new high-performance Z-28 valve springs good for up to.500” valve lift. The heads have also beenCBN milled .008” straight to the correct surface finish for a perfect headgasket seal. These heads are alsomachined for screw in studs with guide plates (not included in the sale). Theheads are then thoroughly washed and fully assembled with 16 new premium metalclad Viton valve stem seals, 16 new OEM “O” ring seals, & 32 new heavy-dutyvalve spring keepers. After assembly all valves and valve seats have beenvacuum tested for verification of a perfect compression seal. These heads have never had any porting or polishingwork done to them on any intake port, exhaust port, or combustion chamber. Allthreaded bolt holes have been chased and are good, (One head has Heli-Coilthread repair inserts on 3 exhaust manifold bolt holes). The heads come aspictured and are ready to install. The heads pictured are the actual heads youare buying and will receive. The double hump heads were factory installed onHigh-Performance Fuel Injected (Fuelie) and carbureted Chevrolet vehiclesincluding Corvette, Camaro RS SS & Z-28, Chevelle Malibu, Chevy II Nova,Bel Air, & Impala. These heads will also interchange with other camel humpheads with casting numbers 461, 461X, 462, 291, 292, 186, 041, & 492. Theseheads will fit all 265, 283, 302, 305, 307, 327, 350, & 400 small blockChevy engines from 1955 to 1986 with no modifications (steam holes will need tobe drilled for a 400) and 1987-1999 with correct gen 1 intake manifold (except1992 & up LT-1 reverse flow).
