Notice the pictures. The resistance of the bi-metal heater is 26. That is correct as per new. RESISTANCE OF YOUR HEATER IS CRITICAL. Tip - many rebuilders do NOT check or replace the old heaters in these units in an effort to save money. The problem is that over time, the heaters age, crack, and the resistance drops way down. This leads to the following problem - instead of heating up over 3-5 minutes as Porsche intended, it heats up over 30 seconds or less, leading to a prematurely LEAN condition at startup, which can make the car very hard to start or keep running, or to run correctly.
Notice the pictures. The warm up regulator holds vacuum/pressure! This is how it should be! Tip - Many people have modified their warm up regulator with a hollow dowel/pin meant to keep the cold control pressure pin from spinning. The problem with this modification is that a warm up regular is a SEALED unit that holds pressure. When you drill a hole in it and insert a hollow pin, it is no longer a sealed unit, and holds no pressure. Beware of any warm up regulators being sold with that dowel/pin modification.
