These connectors feature a heat-shrinkable NiAc sleeve with a special hot-melt adhesive lining the inner wall. This adhesive remains inert at room temperature, but when the sleeve is heated, the adhesive melts and flows, filling any voids and creating a secure seal against environmental factors.
Installation is simple—just crimp the Perma-Seal butt connector onto the wire and apply heat using a heat gun or torch to shrink and seal the connection. The NiAc insulation shrinks at a lower temperature of 90°C (194°F), up to 40% faster than traditional nylon or polyolefin tubing, significantly reducing installation time and costs while minimizing the potential for wire insulation damage.
