This Mishimoto intercooler is a direct-fit replacement for the factory unit on the 2015-2023 Ford Mustang EcoBoost\'s turbocharged 2.3L four-cylinder. Stock tube-and-fin intercoolers on this platform are prone to heat soak after just a few hard pulls, so Mishimoto engineered a bar-and-plate core with a 25% increase in volume and a 165% increase in external fin surface area, cutting intake temperatures by up to 35°F with minimal added pressure loss.
Cast, CFD-tested end tanks and an in-tank air diverter keep airflow consistent through the core, and the whole unit is designed to mount in the stock location without interfering with the factory active grille shutters, radiator, or AC condenser. It works with either the factory intercooler piping or Mishimoto\'s own performance pipe kit for a staged upgrade. Finished in Stealth Black and backed by Mishimoto\'s lifetime warranty.
