This is for a pair of (2) aftermarket front level sensor arms for the w220 S500 4-Matic and S430 4-Matic Mercedes Benz sedans.

The original part number is 2203202589 which is no longer available this is a new part that will allow your w220 to retain airmatic suspension.
The length of the arm is the same as the old one and your air ride will come back to how it should be.
If these break your car is not drivable and right now used ones are few and far between and new ones are not made. The original arms start to deteriorate after a decade and half of use.
Symptoms of a failing front level sensor arm include:
Lopsided suspension
One side raising and lowering
Vehicle sitting crooked after driving w/no error message
Vehicle feeling slanted after going over a bump
Having a front strut completely flat and not taking air
When this arm breaks the system will stop sending air to that strut in the front.
These are for the w220 2003-2006 s-class with air ride and all wheel drive known as 4matic.
If your car has a ABC button to control the suspension these WILL NOT FIT as your car does not have airmatic
You should not remove the front level sensor to install these arms. Simply unbolt the old arms and reattach the new ones. If you take the actual sensor off and reinstall you will need to re-calibrate the airmatic to the new position of the sensor.
You may need to adjust your rear level sensor arm if it is not still on factory setting, but on our shop vehicle it was not necessary.
We tested these on a 2006 S500 4matic W220 Mercedes when we discovered the front left leveling had snapped in half and was no longer available for purchase anywhere.
So far after 3000 miles the car rides and levels like new. These were installed in January 2018, as of May 2024 the car has accumulated a few thousand more miles without any leveling issues or airmatic errors, including regular road trips between Cleveland, Oh and Pittsburg, PA. The car these were made for just hit 330,000 miles.
You will need to replace both front arms which is why we sell this as a kit of 2 arms.
Both front level sensor arms must be installed as a set.
You cannot use one new arm with one old arm.
You will receive two arms
The top mounting screw plate is longer than the original one. This is not necessary to remove as it will clear without issue. However if you want the original fit there are notches on the side of the plate where the end can be snipped back. This is not necessary but all will come marked for your convenience. The notches are shown in the picture. We did not trim back on our shop car as shown.
