Offered here is a vintage MOON TACH tachometer, model MPG 5000T, housed in its distinctive chrome-style cup and retained in its original MOON packaging.
This is the classic half-sweep / nostalgia-style tachometer associated with traditional hot rods, gassers, rat rods, kustoms and vintage drag-racing builds. The tach is designed for 4, 6 and 8-cylinder engines and features an 8,000 RPM maximum scale.
The original instruction sheet is included and identifies the manufacturer as Mooneyes USA, Inc., Santa Fe Springs, California. The packaging is also marked MPG 5000T TACHOMETER.

CONDITION
The tachometer is pictured inside its original packaging and appears to have been stored rather than installed. I have not removed it from the packaging.
The original box shows age/storage wear, including edge wear, scuffs and minor surface imperfections. The clear plastic packaging also shows some scratches/scuffs consistent with age and storage.
