The GSC Power Division RET5041-16 is a complete set of 16 CNC-machined titanium valve spring retainers designed for the Mitsubishi 4G63 DOHC turbocharged engine. Made from titanium, these retainers offer a significant weight reduction over conventional steel units, lowering valvetrain reciprocating mass and allowing the valvetrain to rev more freely with better control at high RPM. The beehive spring-specific profile matches the tapered top of the GSC HP beehive valve springs, ensuring a secure, properly seated fit that prevents spring walking and maintains consistent installed height across all 16 valves.

When paired with the GSC 4G63 HP beehive valve springs, this retainer set supports operation up to 10,500 RPM and is compatible with cam lift up to 12.1mm net valve lift (limited by seal-to-bottom-retainer contact). The set provides complete coverage for one 4G63 cylinder head and is an essential component for any serious high-RPM build on Evolution I–IX, DSM, and other 4G63-powered platforms.
