Enginetech part number 73002-8 is a direct-replacement intake valve supplied as a 8-pack for 1967-2002 GM/Chevrolet 5.7L, 6.3L applications. Key specifications: 1.941\" head, 0.3410\" stem, 4.909\" overall length, chrome stem.
Important Notes
- Sold as an 8-pack. Eight valves per box cover the intake side of one V8 (16-valve) cylinder head - order accordingly for your application.
- EV8 stainless construction. The premium stainless alloy is chosen for its strength and heat tolerance under sustained high-RPM, forced-induction, or high-compression operation.
- Undercut stem profile. Material removed below the head reduces reciprocating mass and improves chamber flow, supporting higher RPM and more aggressive valve-event timing.
- Swirl-polished surface finish. The polished face and stem reduce surface friction and resist deposit formation in performance and forced-induction applications.
- Chrome-plated stem provides a hard, low-friction wear surface for extended service life.
- Always verify head diameter, stem diameter, and overall valve length against the OE valve being replaced before installation. Valve dimensions vary across engine families - a visual match is not enough.

Watch the Enginetech intake valve overview: the Enginetech intake valve overview: the Enginetech intake valve overview: EV8 Pro performance valves are engineered for high-performance street and competition use rather than stock OE replacement. The line is built from EV8 stainless alloy with undercut stems and swirl-polished surfaces to reduce reciprocating mass, improve flow into and out of the chamber, and resist the operating temperatures of high-RPM, forced-induction, and high-compression service. Every valve is inspected by on-site engineers against a documented quality plan before leaving the plant. Verify head diameter, stem diameter, valve length, groove count, and tip-to-groove dimension against the valve being replaced before installation - performance valve geometry is rarely a drop-in match for the OE part it supersedes.
