What This Actuator Is
This is a Dexter Electric Over Hydraulic (EoH) brake actuator designed to
convert an in-cab electric brake controller signal into controlled hydraulic
pressure for trailer disc brake systems.
With a maximum output of 1,600 PSI, this actuator is intended for
heavy-duty trailers where precise, proportional braking and hydraulic disc
brake performance are required.

Brake Controller Compatibility
This actuator requires an Electric-Over-Hydraulic compatible brake controller.
It will not function correctly with standard time-delay or non-EoH controllers.

Breakaway & Power Requirements
- Requires a minimum 9Ah breakaway battery (not included)
- Dedicated breakaway circuit required for proper emergency operation
- Battery capacity is critical for maintaining hydraulic pressure during breakaway events
Operating Behavior (Important)
This actuator enters a low-power sleep mode after a period of inactivity.
When braking input is applied again, the unit wakes automatically and resumes
normal operation. This behavior is intentional and part of the unit’s
power-management design.
