This original equipment, Second Edition convertible top Operator\'s Manual was part of the New Owner\'s glove box literature when a 1961 Cadillac Series 62 convertible was purchased new. The rest of the glove box literature is listed separately since hard top owners would have no use for this booklet.
Recently I decided to begin putting back into circulation my collection of glove box Owner\'s Manual sets. This particular booklet and its host became part of my collection over fifty years ago when a friend of my dad\'s was the third-generation owner of a Rosemead, CA based auto salvage yard. As a pre-teen and teenager, I had permission to collect the owner\'s manual sets and other trim items which caught my eye. And boy did a LOT catch my eye!
The photos show that this manual looks nearly hot off the press. The cover has some color wear in the black at the fold. There are some light wrinkles at the fold also. But as you peruse the page photos, you\'ll find very few if any wrinkles inside or on the back cover. Also notable are no added ink or pencil markings of any kind, no smudges, no dog ears, no folds or creases. The back cover, however, has a few smudges which I photographed, and were overexposed due to the light in one photo.
All-in-all, this 63-year-old booklet is well-preserved due to being hidden away and sandwiched between the other manuals for so many years.
