This listing is for a RemanufacturedFord 5R55S/WValve Body, model years 2001-2008, includes separator plate and upper and lower valve body gaskets. This Valve Body does not include the Solenoid Block. Fordadvises that you replace the Solenoid Block whenever a transmission problem or failure occurs as a defective Solenoid Block can produce multiple fault codes.Please see the photos and illustrations below in our Technical Information sectionfor useful tips and identification information.This valve body is better than OEM, it features many upgrades to increase reliability over the standard OEM valve body.
Theses upgrades include:Upgraded 4-3Pre-Stroke Spring,Two Spring Updates and an Upgraded TCC Plunger Kit.

In recent months there has been an influx of sellers on here and other e-commerce sites that are selling USED valve bodies as \"Remanufactured\" with \"Lifetime Warranties\" and \"Updated.\" To the educated buyer these claims are obviously fraudulent as the prices are too low for them to be remanufactured, let alone updated with Sonnax parts kits. We are an authorized Sonnax distributor and can assure you that you cannot purchase a remanufactured valve body for $100.00-200.00, with Sonnax kits installed. Costs are just too high to make that realistic. Granted a used part may last you 100,000 miles depending on it\'s previous use, or it may last you a month, you just don\'t know. If you are willing to spend $200.00, why not $230.00 or $330.00 for a part that is guaranteed to work? TechnicalInformation In the above photo you can see a view of the bottom and top of the 5R55S/W Valve
Body.
Beginning in 2009, changes were made to this valve body. One of the changes is the
location of the Rough Forging number. The RED ARROW above shows the location
of the Rough ForgingNumber in model years2001-2008. The GREEN ARROW
shows the location of the Rough Forging Number for model years 2009-UP.
One possible cause of a delayed reverse in this transmission can be a stuck
Low/Reverse Servo Control Valve, which is located in the Low/Reverse Servo.
The Low/Reverse Servo Control Valve controls oil flow to apply the Servo. When
the Valve sticks, it cannot regulate and fills the Servo very slowly, causing the
delay. Because the Valve and Spring are located under a threaded end cap, it
can be overlooked. If the Servo Housing was put in a hot pressure washer for
cleaning, water, soap and dirt an collect in the bore and valve area.Always remove the Valve and Spring during cleaning and double check that the
Valve operates freely in the bore when clean and dry.Both versions of this valve body(2001-2008 and 2009-UP)have two check
balls in the locations indicated in RED above.
WarrantyInformation
This World Wide Specialty Parts manufactured valve body is backed by our Limited Lifetime Warranty. During the first year, if the valve body is determined to be defective, it will be replaced free of charge.
After the first year, the valve body may be returned for repair or replacement, all you have to do is pay for the shipping charges to send it to us.
Failure to contact us before returning a valve body may result in a restocking fee. In addition, any unauthorized repairs, alterations, or disassembly WILL VOID THE WARRANTY! Proof of purchase may be required, so please keep a copy of your invoice just in case. Any unauthorized repairs, alterations, misuse or disassembly will void the warranty.
Please note: Installation of a World Wide Specialty Parts valve body for diagnostic purposes will void the warranty; valve bodies subjected to such misuse and returned under warranty will receive core credit only.
This warranty does not cover: Removal and Replacement Labor Costs, Loss of time, Inconvenience or other Consequential
BEFORE READING ALL OF THIS PLEASE BE AWARE WE DO NOT CHARGE A CORE ON ALL VALVE BODIES.
If we do not charge a core deposit, we just ask you use the prepaid core label to return your core if you do not want it. That way the next person who needs one will be able to get one. Thank you.When you receive your valve body there will be a plastic pouch on the top of the box. Inside this pouch is the packing slip and prepaid UPS Label for the core folded up together. Use this label and the box the new valve body comes in to ship your core back, just let the valve body drain and place it in a garbage bag before shipping please. Just stick the label on the box and drop it off at a UPS location and we will handle the rest.You have 90 days to return the core before things become complicated. After 90 days and most credit card companies close the transaction and we can no longer process any refunds. We will accept cores after 90 days you will just have to contact us to arrange another way to receive the refund, through PayPal or another EFT processor.We have been short-staffed since Covid so core processing may take 4-6 weeks once your core is received. We are doing the best we can and we will get your core charge back to you, we just ask for your patience and understanding.
