This is a vintage 12-volt Hutchins ah-ooo-gah horn. This refinished horn has been disassembled, de-rusted, cleaned, and re-painted with Rustoleum flat black paint.I use an electrical process, electrolysis, to remove all rust and thentriple wire brush and scrub with steel wool before painting.It was re-assembled with all new screws, nuts, washers, gasket, grommet, and wiring where needed. It has been testedand adjusted for a great sound.I fully test each horn at the completion of the refurbishing process, again when the horn is put up for sale, and a third time before it is shipped. There is no rust on this horn but there may be small dents or inconsistencies in the paint. This particular horn haas some small dents in the bell (pic 4), a couple of gouge marks in the motor cover (not visible in pics 1 or 2), and a couple of small dents in the motor end cover (see pic 3). None of these blemishes affect the sound which is excellent. I concentrate on getting the best sound out of these 50-60 year old horns and in my humble opinion a few dents here or there adds a bit of character so I do not try to remove dents nor am I an expert painter and there could be small imperfections in the paint. This horn has a two-wire hookup (12V and ground). Either wire can be used for power and the other for ground. This horn did not come with a mounting bracket so I have discounted the horn accordingly by $10.00.
