BMW Standalone MS43 for the M54B30 3.0 engine.
This ECU DME has EWS Off / Disabled Immobilizer, AND also has SAP and REAR O2 sensors disabled as well which is commonly done for Euro or aftermarket exhaust manifolds .
This is obviously for Off road or track use only or otherwise for cars not subjected to emissions testing.
If you want your VIN coded that’s not a problem, include your VIN in the notes when ordering, no extra cost. If you don’t specify your vin a random one will be used.
This engine computer is for the 3.0 liter M54B30 engine as used in the 330i 330ci 330ix e46 3 series and e39 5 series 530i and e53 x5 3.0
This dme works for automatic and manual transmission or if you are doing an engine swap into another chassis such as E30 / E36.
- Make sure your car is using MS43 dme, as opposed to MS45, look at the dme in the car , takes a few minutes .
- Again - confirm your car has MS43 dme before purchasing, by purchasing you are agreeing that you’ve done your due diligence- no returns are accepted. Each dme is tested and working, I am not responsible if you purchase a wrong dme without checking first .
It is recommended that when you swap / install a DME you reset adaptations using INPA or similar tool. I reset adaptations using BMW inpa tool when I test these before shipping. Check your OBD2 scanner for instructions or ask your local BMW mechanic to perform this simple task , takes less than a minute to do.
Note - if your Ews module itself is damaged or removed you’ll need to bypass it by connecting two wires together . You can Google instructions or check on bmw forums if you don’t know how, in 90% of cases the ews module itself can be left alone. If you do remove it then you need to bypass it properly or your car will not crank/start no matter what.
Make sure your car is using MS43 dme before purchasing, as opposed to MS42 or MS45! One way to tell is to take a look at your MAF connector , if you have a 5 pin connector then your car will NOT have an MS43 dme and this will not work for you. Or simply remove the dme cover under the hood on driver side and confirm the dme shows MS43 on its label.
Condition is Remanufactured, tested working DME with EWS deleted. Adaptations are reset using INPA, then road tested in 2002 E46 manual transmission car and checked that there are no codes. DME is updated via BMW WinKPF tool, version 66 . This is not some generic publicly available old version . This is a good updated 066 version, not some old generic old version found online.
