Here we have the lower unit for the 35 - 70 hp Mercury & Mariner outboards. This lower unit shifts and turns good. The impeller was pumping water fine, but we do not know when it was last replaced. The seals are good. The gear oil has been drained - no water or metal. Lower unit had doel fins on it, so if you want to add them the holes are already there. The drive shaft has 11 splines. This is for 20” transoms. The propeller shaft has 13 splines. See pics.
