New aftermarket lower dash kit for any 94-96 caprice or impala SS.
Story behind it: as we continue on our quest to create and develop more custom and OE replacements parts for the b body community, we have noticed in the last several years severe shortage of certain items. This is obviously due to lack of new old stock replacements, discontinued items and simply wear and tear. This shortage not only makes restoration impossible, but also creates a nest for fraud opportunities, and continues to drive the price of some parts to the astronomical figures. We had to do something about it so we went to the drawing board. Searching for donor parts, proper materials, acquire tooling, learn and improvise with new fabricating techniques. Now over a year later we glad to share our newly developed product with the B body community.
The part: since we were in the position to review the part and its functionality little deeper, we made few changes and improvements. First of all we made our part modular, meaning it is no longer one big pice of plastic but consists of 3 separate parts. We have a headlight basil on the left, radio plate/hvac air flow guides and the bottom portion which still extends from your fuse to the glove box.
Headlight basil is casted from semi rigid black polyurethane. It has very detailed original pattern, hvac duct is molded in and allows your existing air flow guides to be simply snapped in.
Radio plate/hvac air flow: at 1/2 inch thickness at the critical location and weighing one and a half pounds this unit is identical in manufacturing process and also has high level of detail. It allows you to snap your air flow direction controls right in just like OE. The snap clips brackets are also molded into the original spots location and reinforced with metal. See pictures.
Both parts are highly durable and through and through black in color which stops future fading and need for refinish. Both parts also have a solid flange from 3 o’clock to 9 o’clock which is used as a bracket for adhesion to the main bottom board.
Bottom board: which extends from fuse to glove box is also highly detailed reproduction with textured finish that matches OE look near perfect. We also eliminated the center knee panel ( the one that tends to fall out whenever you hit a bump) and made that panel part of the whole board. Since we continue to work on this cars we also know that small knee panel still does not allow for full access to the wires, relays and switches under the dash anyway. Another words, the bottom portion is one big panel with the ash tray opening. Comes in black gel coat and easy to paint to match your stock colors.
Installation : is identical to the OE bit once again we made few changes. After aligning each individual part on your car the 3 parts are joint together with epoxy and than installed. There is no more snip clips on the lower panel, just the 2 on the radio plate. Now there is additional screw at 3 o’clock on the cluster opening matching a 9 o’clock that came factory 2 metal brackets will be attached on the fuse block side and will allow you to secure the lower part as shown on the picture. 2 bolts with nuts also secure the panel on the glove box side which eliminates need for the clip top left of the glove box. (See pictures)
As of 9/2/2026 we personally installed 2 of these units and can proudly say that our part and installation is not just replacement but a true upgrade. Strong, durable, lasting and modular.
Because this item is new, and nothing like that exists on the market as of right now, we are limited to how many pictures we can post here. So, please feel free to reach out with any questions you might have. Our response time is normally under 30 min.
Closing argument: yes, installing this part, just like any other aftermarket product will present its own set of challenges. You will have to grind, trim, shift, align everything before you can attach it. But on the flip side you can make a true custom tight fit which is almost impossible sometimes with OE part without pulling whole dash and the back dash to make adjustments. You also taking a guess work out from not knowing in what condition your used dash will arrive, how long it will last or if it will survive the next time you have to take it off. Because of modularity, we plan to offer replacement parts individually (radio basil, headlight basil and lower board) for our dashes which can save on replacement costs and shipping expenses going forward.
The buyer will receive everything that’s pictured in the last photo minus ash tray bracket. Your bottom portion will also be black gel coat finish and not gray. All parts will be pre-trimmed with approximate 1/16 material left for final fit and best fitment.
Please allow 10 business days to process your order. This item is I’m high demand and we have cross posts to bring this unit to B body community.
